British Council Zimbabwe Music Connects Africa ZW Programme 2025

The Africa ZW Programme, an initiative of the British Council in partnership with the Embassy of Switzerland in Zimbabwe, is delivered by Kay Media Africa in Zimbabwe in collaboration with Reprezent in the UK. It is a key part of the British Council’s Creative Economy programmes, which focus on placing people and their creative potential at the heart of sustainable growth. By fostering innovation and collaboration, the initiative aims to shape an inclusive economy that benefits everyone. Through strategic partnerships, it supports the creative sector, empowering individuals and communities while strengthening cultural and economic ties between Zimbabwe, Switzerland, and the UK.

Eligibility for Africa ZW Programme

• Applicants should be aged 18+ and based in Zimbabwe;
• Independent Artists not signed to a record label;
• Talent Managers with at least 1 music artist under their management;
• Must have at least 2 years experience with a proven track record of professionally released music online or performing live;
• Young people, women and those from underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Application

Only apply if you are committed to developing your music career as a priority. You must be able to attend all workshops and events in person and online. The programme will run from February to July 2025.
